Our transportation program gives working parents one dependable plan for care, school drop-off, and afternoon pickup. It also gives children a familiar place to begin and end their day with teachers they already know and trust.
A Comfortable Start Before School
With our before-school care program, you can bring your child to Green Meadows before the school day begins.
Rather than rushing directly into a busy school morning, your child can ease into the day in the comfort of their Schoolhouse. They will be welcomed by familiar teachers who know them and genuinely care about how their day begins.
When it is time for school, our trained Green Meadows team will transport your child from the Schoolhouse to their participating Olentangy school. You can continue with your morning knowing your child is being cared for and will arrive at school with people your family trusts.
A Warm Welcome After School
When the school day ends, we will be there to pick up your child and bring them back to Green Meadows for after-school care.
You will not have to step away from work for school pickup, navigate the afternoon car line, or arrange transportation with another provider. Your child will transition from school back to a familiar place where they can spend the rest of the afternoon until you are ready to pick them up.
For children, this creates fewer unfamiliar handoffs and a more comfortable daily rhythm. For parents, it means knowing that school transportation and school-age child care are both being provided by the Green Meadows team.
Transportation to Select Olentangy Schools
Each spring, we determine which schools we will serve during the upcoming school year. Our transportation routes are based on the needs of our Kindergarten classes and currently enrolled families.
We share the list of participating schools by May so families have time to prepare for the year ahead.
Because routes and school availability may change from year to year, we encourage families to ask whether transportation is currently available for their child’s school.
Thoughtful Care on Every Trip
Your child will receive the same thoughtful care on the road that they experience inside our Schoolhouse.
Children are transported in a Green Meadows bus or van by experienced team members who are trained for transportation and meet all insurance requirements. Our drivers also maintain current CPR and First Aid certifications.
Field Trips and Summer Camp Transportation
Most of our interactive learning experiences happen right here at Green Meadows. Occasionally, we may plan a field trip that gives children a special opportunity to explore something they have been learning at the Schoolhouse.
Children who have completed Kindergarten are also eligible to join our GMS Summer Camp program, which may include outings and adventures away from campus.
Children are transported to and from field trips in a GMS bus or van. Families receive a separate permission form before each trip.
We also provide every child with a bright GMS safety shirt to wear during field trips. The shirt features our program’s name, address, and phone number, but a child’s name is never printed on it.

Yes. A parent or guardian must provide written permission before a child participates in routine school transportation. This permission is valid for one year. Separate written permission is required for each field trip.
